Dongfeng Forthing’s New Lineup Debuts at Munich Auto Show

The 2023 Munich Auto Show in Germany officially opened on the afternoon of September 4th (Beijing time). On that day, Dongfeng Forthing held a press conference at Auto Show B1 Hall C10 Booth showcasing its latest new energy vehicles, including the new hybrid flagship MPV, Friday, U-Tour, and T5. This exhibition aimed to show the technological achievements of Dongfeng’s new energy vehicles to the world.

Dongfeng Forthing‘s exhibited models cover both hybrid and pure electric power technologies. During the show, Dongfeng Forthing announced the launch of its first pure electric sedan targeting young consumers in 2024.

The newly unveiled hybrid flagship MPV by Forthing attracted significant attention during the press conference. It is a globally developed model, a luxurious flagship-level MPV equipped with advanced plug-in hybrid technology – Dongfeng Mach Super Hybrid. It boasts an industry-leading thermal efficiency of 45.18%, delivering the lowest fuel consumption and the highest range in its class. Furthermore, it offers ample space and features luxurious intelligent configurations such as aviation-grade seats and multiple smart screens.

Dongfeng Forthing’s first pure electric sedan will debut with a brand-new design language, aiming to be the most beautiful pure electric family sedan in China. This car will also be the first to be equipped with Forthing’s new pure electric architecture platform and the upgraded Kevlar Battery 2.0, providing users with the ultimate sense of safety of pure electric.

During the press conference, Mr. You Zheng, member of the company’s party committee, deputy general manager, and chairman of Dongfeng Liuzhou Motor, stated that in the wave of new energy vehicle development, Dongfeng Corporation is targeting new opportunities and striving to promote the transition of new energy and intelligent driving. By 2024, Dongfeng’s main brand of autonomous passenger vehicles will be 100% electric. As an important force in Dongfeng’s autonomous passenger vehicle sector, Dongfeng Forthing is a vital advocate for the development of Dongfeng’s autonomous brand. Forthing will also customize the development of new energy vehicle models for European users, working with partners to explore broader market space.
